A simple yet elegant Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta that brings a delightful creamy texture and subtle hints of vanilla to your home.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste or 1 vanilla bean
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Combine the cream mixture: In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. Prepare the gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it soften for 5 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the gelatin: Remove the cream mixture from heat and stir in the gelatin until dissolved.
  4. Pour into molds: Pour the mixture into molds and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  5. Serve with a twist: To serve, dip molds briefly in hot water and invert onto plates.

Notes

Panna cotta pairs beautifully with raspberry coulis, crushed pistachios, or a dollop of whipped cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
