  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Melt the butter and pour it into the prepared pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the melted butter.
  3. Arrange the sliced peaches over the brown sugar in the pan, making sure to cover the bottom nicely.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  5. Cream the granulated sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients with the milk to the egg mixture, mixing until just well combined.
  7. Pour the batter over the peaches in the pan, ensuring even distribution.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool for 5 minutes before inverting onto a serving platter.
