A visually stunning and delicious French fruit tart topped with an assortment of fresh fruits on a creamy pastry base.

Ingredients

  • 1 tart shell (pâte sucrée or pre-made)
  • 1 cup pastry cream or crème pâtissière
  • Assorted fresh fruits (strawberries, kiwis, blueberries, peaches, etc.)
  • Glaze (apricot jam or a fruit glaze, optional)
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pre-bake the tart shell according to recipe instructions or package directions and let it cool completely.
  2. Prepare the pastry cream and let it cool completely.
  3. Spread the pastry cream evenly inside the cooled tart shell.
  4. Arrange the assorted fresh fruits on top of the cream in a decorative pattern.
  5. Create the glazed finish by heating apricot jam until smooth and brushing it over the fruits (optional).
  6. Refrigerate the tart until ready to serve.
  7. Garnish with mint leaves before serving.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for an indulgent treat. Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
