Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  2. Remove from heat and stir in the flour until a dough forms.
  3. Let the dough cool slightly, then add vegetable oil and mix well.
  4. Heat oil for frying in a large pan over medium heat.
  5. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
  6. Pipe churros into the hot oil, cutting them to your desired length with scissors.
  7. Fry until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Drain the churros on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  9. Mix together 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon in a bowl.
  10. Roll the warm churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure oil is at the correct temperature before frying and consider pairing with chocolate sauce or fresh fruit.
